Cai Bau Pagoda (also known as Truc Lam Giac Tam Zen Monastery) is a temple located in Hamlet 1 of Ha Long commune, Van Don district, Quang Ninh province. The monastery was built on the foundation of Phuc Linh Tu. This place has also witnessed the preemptive battle against the Yuan-Mongol invaders, laying the groundwork for the victory on the Bach Dang River in 1288.
Cai Bau Pagoda is nestled against a mountain range and faces Bai Tu Long Bay. The temple is enveloped in a tranquil and peaceful atmosphere, making every sound of the bell and every chant of prayers and wooden fish seem more resonant. Notably, the most impressive aspect is that within the temple, there is no practice of burning votive paper or the presence of street vendors and eateries.
